This week is wellness week. Wellness is about looking after all aspects of your well being: physical, social, intellectual and emotional. Here are a few ideas that you might like to try this week but also to carry on with you throughout the summer and beyond. Giant Bubbles https://www.science-sparks.com/making-giant-bubbles/ All of the boys really love playing with bubbles and this is a great, fun activity that also incorporates some science too. |
Calm Down Jars https://preschoolinspirations.com/6-ways-to-make-a-calm-down-jar/ A calm down jar is a great thing for any child to have available to them. When they are stressed, anxious, tired or frustrated it is a nice way for someone to take a break and calm themselves. |
Make a Maze https://www.raisingdragons.com/ping-pong-playdough-straw-maze/ This one will make you laugh and everyone in the family can have a go. Laughing and playing together is so important for wellness. |
Walking Rainbow

The boys should really enjoy this visual wonder. And it’s so simple to set up.

And remember...
Connect:
By connecting with people we are looking after our wellbeing. Thankfully we are now able to connect with more people so why not take a stroll on the beach with grandparents or play a socially distant game with a cousin. Maybe a simple video call would help the boys connect with someone they love.
Play:
Take time every day to play together. Follow your sons lead in play
Be active:
Make time every day to be active. This might be part of your play, maybe a run around the garden, musical statues or some yoga.
